Large format reduction grid print in turquoise, light green and silver. Reduction printmaking is a process where the artist first carves the printing block minimally, uses it to print the first layer, then carves the same block more to create the subsequent layers. With each layer of carving the printmaking process becomes inherently more risky as mistakes cannot be corrected and additional prints cannot be made because the previous layers of the block have been carved away. This is an edition of two and cannot be re-editioned. This is printed on white Stonehenge paper. This print does not come framed. This will be shipped rolled in a tube unless otherwise requested, which will incur an additional cost.
